How to powder coat your aluminum parts and look "more professional"

I have found anodizing to be a better finish for aluminum rather than powder coating. The hardened finish holds up much better over time, an adds strength to the finished product.

Cool David. Post any links of video of the process and what's involved.

This thread would be great to collect ideas for "professional" finishing in general.

By the way anyone know the best paint to use for finishing a wooden DYI dolly so it looks half decent but also doesn't leave black prints everywhere on clients floors, carpet, etc.. ?

Cheers,

There are many pro powdercoat shops around that do this with superior results.

Another easy but effective finish for aluminum is zinc chromate primer and a flat black or low gloss black lacquer on top. While initially less durable than a pro powdercoat finish, it has the virtue of being very easy to patch. Looks good too.
