How to make iPhone's Siri say things

Recording a sketch for someone requiring a funny response from the iPhone's siri app.

I was thinking of just using some voice synthesis on my desktop to read a script and record that, mixing in post, but it would be cool to get Siri in her actual voice.

I don't own an iPhone myself so I'm not sure how it works, but I will be borrowing one for the shoot. Does anyone know how to make it read something back to you, or if there is some desktop application or otherwise that sounds just like it that can do it instead?

If you have OSX Lion, you can set your text to speech to "Samantha" which is the same voice as Siri.

Nice, good to know! Not using Lion, but desktop equivelants are welcome. My other option was some website I found that will read text in the gLaDoS voice from Half Life. Its close, but fans of Siri will be able to tell the difference.

Best bet may be to SMS the iPhone the words I want it to say and say read my texts, right? Sounds fair enough, I'll just point a mic at the phone and call it day. Thanks guys!

As a minor side note, that voice is probably copyrighted so you probably can't use it legally. Just as you can't use cel phone rings with out permission. May not be an issue for your project but a heads up.
