how to make indoor footage sound outdoors?

hi, I have keyed footage of an actor (shot indoors) and need him to sound as if he was outdoors. Any advice?

Record about 1 minute of ambient noise in a suitable outdoor situation and add it to your audio track for the greenscreen shot.

Or loop his dialogue outdoors.

sfx - birds, cicada, planes, traffic, wind, sirens, bells..................

If you have room echoes, these will be virtually impossible to remove from the recording, I'd say looping his dialogue outdoors would be the only way to sell it if this were the case.
