Has anyone built their own shoulder mount for the HVX200? Does anyone know where I could find plans to build a decent one? Also, I'm looking for something like the Letus 35mm adapter. Is there another adapter that is less expensive and of as good of quality as the Letus? Can anyone give me information on other adapters? Any info would be much appreciated.

The Spider Brace works great and is not that expensive. You won't save much building your own.
Using the shoulder pad scavenged from an old, cheap shoulder mount thingie that my parents gave me for Christmas almost 15 years ago and an Indian-made rod support plus bits and pieces from Lowes (maybe $10 worth) and a bicycle shop (handles and grip tape - $40) I am almost finished something that is remarkably similar to the RedRock shoulder mount except for the lack of a tripod mount. It is for one of my DVX100's. Look for pictures soon in the DIY section, or PM me your email if you can't wait.

Im looking at the Red Rock 35mm adapter, its half the price and produces very good quality, go to youtube and check out some videos made by owners of Redrock. Also you should go for the Redrock m2 ENCORE because it has a new piece that flips the image so you wont be shooting upside down.
What does that have to do with shoulder mounts?

Hello, i parted out a PAG ORBITER shoulder pad on a Cavision frame for my RIG! I can't hand those hard plastic ones, i needed the standard 16 -35MM film camera style. The rig weighs into the high 20s pds. Good back counter weight with the Monitor batteries.
