Hello. Does anyone use some software to make theis budgets? Using excel or word is very boring and i was looking for something more proffesional/artistic. Anyone could give me an advice or some website?
Why would you want a budget to be artistic? Even if you want it to be part of a "pitch kit" financials (in whatever you do) should always be clean and professional (like an accountant). I would try working in Excel, you can be as "artistic" as you want and do some pretty impressive stuff, it is a very powerful application. I think you should use an industry standard format for above and below the line items with a one page summary and then a more detailed breakdown following that. I should have some examples posted on my website in a couple of days (that's the next page to make), but any book on filmmaking that covers preproduction (most all of them) will discuss budgets.
All of that being said, if you want to spend the big bucks, you could get Movie Magic Budgeting
