Sometimes I'm editing videos where are very short parts (gun shots etc.) which are excessively louder than other sounds. Its very time consuming if I make them quiter manually with volume envelepe and there are too many of such sounds. So I was wondering, how to adjust audio compressor to affect only sounds higher than -9db. Lets say, every sounds above -9db I do not want cross -9db. And I dont want to affect the other parts of the audio. Is this possible? What would you do in my situation? Thanks!
