How to install Strongene HEVC Encoder

Since when does a codec need to be a plugin to be exported out of premiere? I'm talking about registering a codec on your system so that premiere/media encoder recognizes it and can list it in the encoding formats.

How would you go about encoding to h265 using the strongene codec without premiere? I just trying to figure out how to install it and use it.

Glancing at the site, it's appears to be a trial of an encoder, not a codec, that's available for download. There's no indication it can be accessed via any 3rd-party programs presently.

It's just a DirectShow filter, you'd have to mate it with a muxer (it may have a muxer too, didn't look that close) and a container file writer in order to actually make a file with it. You might be able to do this with something like AVISynth (not sure if AVISynth can hook up DirectShow filters) or Microsoft's GraphEdit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GraphEdit) but getting it to work in Premiere is going to require some real software development. They also don't appear to be selling it to end-users so it's not even clear if you did write a Premiere exporter how you'd get the full real encoder to use with it.
