How to improve my slider movements ?

Hi guys, I spent few days making this short documentary

as you can see I made a large use of the slider, I really like it and I want to learn more about it.

I was wondering if some of you after seeing my video can give me any advise about how to improve my slider shots and maybe suggest me any resource / thread / book explaining slider / dolly movements for specific situations.

In the video above I did those movements to create a more reflective and emotional footage rather than journalistic or simply descriptive.

Any hints welcome.

Thanks

Wow..What camera did you use?How long is your slider..im loving the movements from 00.56.What did you use for that?Sorry, more questions than answeres!!

ahah no problem, so I use a GH2 hacked at 180 mbps, with nikkor lenses, most of them with the 70-200 VRII f2.8, the aerial parts are made with the Panny 7-14 f4, 00:56 is made from my rc helicopter. The slider is 80cm (SmartSlider Pro 800 by Smart System Italy).

I'm just wondering if I slidered too much.. you know when you're excited about a new tool you risk to over use it...

Thanks

Slider is Ok.

But for outsiders, newspaper headlines, slow dissolved to a map of the area and super extreme closeups of the peoples faces and tears, a saddened black robed priest at the fallen church might demonstrate the tragedy even more. You have to set some stuff up.

Extreme ground slider closeups of the fallen bricks and masonary .. dissolves matching the music etc.

Sorry to see those terrible losses. Hope you and yours are Ok.
