Hi guys,

For web videos what is your process to get them onto a client's site if the designer doesn't know how?

Problem is a client wanted a flash video with links and buttons embed, no problem, designer gets it on the correct page after lots of consultation and 'please put this' swf here and that flv there but it would only work on Safari and Firefox not Internet explorer, they didn't know why and wern't very concerned meanwhile client's getting anoyed at me,

now trying to do a 'click here to view' which will go to a page created at my end that actually works on all OSs and loaded to a specific folder on the client's site - was given a limited access code to that folder - loaded up a bunch of files and turns out I was given the wrong info and they don't know where the files have gone...

What do you guys do for getting video on webpages when youtube or viemo is not an option -e.g. has to be designed to match their webpage and the site uses CMS and can't apparently handle any html.

Thanks

Simple answer; there is no process to proceed in this case. Why, it is apparent that client hired a videographer to deliver FLV videos, and a designer to embed them into their website.
My understanding is that you are responsible for producing/delivering FLV videos.
FLV videos are independent from browsers and as you know they simply require Flash player installed in receipent's computer to play.
Unless you promised more than you can deliver I see no reason why client is getting annoyed at you...

Client site uses Web CMS but cant properly play a FLV file, it is hard to understand....
