Ok so I'm wondering if any of you know where I can go to get a logo for my company. We have been in the industry for alomost 2 years and feel ready for an official logo. SO if any of you know where I can go for that or if any of you do tasks like that please let me know. Thanks.

You make your logo official, not someone else! :)

What is at the core of what your company does? What does the name of your company communicate to potential and existing customers?

lol yeah i knew that. we will make the design and all but i need someone whoo knows what software to get or if they can just basically run me through the process of the whole thing.

my friend specializes in graphic design... he's pretty good at logos for movies/festivals/production companies

Are you looking for something animated or just for print?

Well If you are looking for an animated logo... A great software to use is After Effects. It might be on the pricey side for you tho. How much would you be willing to pay for software? If you were looking for an un-animated logo (still) I could try designing one for you on Photoshop. Just PM me with the Name of your business, etc. if your interested.

Flash works great for doing animated logos, and there are a lot of free Flash like programs that will do what you want.

if clarkage if making you a logo for free you are getting a great deal.. i'm also in the process of looking for someone to make me a logo and most companies are charging $60 per hour or like a $399 flat rate...

hey clarkage, are ya any good?!?!?! if so, i'm interested in a free logo too!! has to be totally awesome tho...hahah
