how to fix pixelated background

I shot my 15 minute short with the dvx100a using 24p Advanced. The footage looks great except in this one location we shot in. The camera settings were proper before every shoot so I don't know why it turned out like this. The walls in the background have the pixelated "color dots" and it bleeds onto some of the actors as well.
Can anyone tell me why this might have happened and what I can do with FCP to fix it?

I may be wrong on this, but you may have shot the video in LP mode. I had this happen on a long shoot and couldn't even get it into FCP. If you've recorded in SP, then I have no idea.

The only other pixelization I've had is when I'm shooting something that's bright red. I did a night shoot with an actor standing next to a car with the brake lights on. Every shot of the brakes were very jagged, while the actor and the rest of the car were sharp.
