Hi all. I have had this problem for years and can not find a cure. I have progressive footage, I have Vegas project file set up to be progressive, I right click on the footage and go to properties and make sure it is set to Progressive (sometimes it's not), I render out in something like quicktime with the Animation codec, or an .avi with the DV codec, I've tried them all, with progressive selected in the output options.
Yet every time I get interlaced footage. Vegas reads the file just rendered as interlaced, so does After Effects, and Premiere. What do I have to do to get it to render progressive.
I know it can be done with 24p footage, I do it all the time. Why does 29.97 always come out interlaced?
Here are a couple of examples. This is just a simple spining text extruded and textured, then animated in Lightwave. The motion blur sucks, but hey that's Lightwave for you.
What in the heck am I doing wrong? This is progrssive footage right out of lightwave.
I have Vegas version 6.d, but have had the problem since version 4. Someone please weigh in on this. I do a lot of web video using vegas as my editor, and the interlaced lines really hurt my work. And I hate the workaround of redering an entire project uncompressed just so I can have After Effects deinterlace it for me and apply the proper web codec.
Thanks.
