How To Export To DV Tape

thank you rob, normally i graciously accept help and asking people for help is something i normally do only when i can't solve something myself....however when i come to a forum that is designed to help people learn things and all i get are insults i'm going to give attitude, sorry i'm not a lacky who just sits there and takes peoples ****....i figured it out in the end, which is all that really matters to me, but i seriously am going to question asking for help which it comes to editing every again if thats the manor i'm going be treated

1) You need a think skin in this business... get used to it
2) Never ask for help and you'll never know how bad you are
3) Congratulations on doing something on your own. Shows promise

To all those people who think I was being rough on this poor chap.... bite me! He had it coming. Reread my posts here on this forum. What kills me is the total lack of effort a few people on this board this past week have shown it taking responsibility for their own stupidity.

Read Chris threads again...

But - it's not about me. Was I an ass? Yes. Would I love not seeing him on this forum ever again? Well... it should take him about a week to do all the tutorials in the manual and read those books. By then he might just have an idea about this program and can talk intelligently about what his issues are. I'd accept him back after that.

Heh that was a chuckle.

I've had issues with FCP exporting to tape as well, it works about 50% of the time due to some weird setting that keeps getting overwritten or something. Either way if I'm in a crunch and I don't feel like messing with FCP I jsut export my timeline to a quicktime movie and use iMovie to put it to tape, which has worked every single time without a hitch. Just a different method of getting the same result :)
