How to Export MPEG2 PS Format from CS5?

I have a Panasonic P42S10 Plasma TV and supposedly it will play PMEG2 PS Format videos straight from the SD card which slots in the side of the TV.

How can I export from Premiere Pro CS5 the required MPEG2 PS Format? I have tried with the standard Export version for MPEG2, but this is not compatible with the TV.

Any ideas? Note that I have search through the Manual and also as many forums on Panasonic and Premiere Pro, all to no avail.

Your help is appreciated.

Are there specs as to what formats the TV accepts? It also seems to accept AVCHD, according to some quick Googling. I'd go for that if I were you. :)

I haven't exported MPEG2 from Premiere in a while, it usually shoots out .m2v files, right? PS refers to a muxed MPEG stream (.mpg), so if you don't have this extension, perhaps it won't read elementary streams (such as .m2v). I'm just guessing here, but if this is the case, try the freeware tool Imago MPEG Muxer:

Hi RX782,

The TV only accepts AVCHD format produced by Panasonic camera unfortunately. The files have to be in the correct format and in the correct directory structure for it to work. As soon as I edit it in Premiere, there is no way to export it to the AVCHD format required by the TV.

Also when I export to MPEG2 the extenion is .mpg not .m2v. Panasonic have not been very helpful in getting this working.

Hi Ann Bens,

I would like to output a file in Full HD format. When I try with mpreg-2 dvd in Premiere, it downscales the output.

Note that I have found a program called multiAVCHD, but I can't get this working either although there is an option to output for Panasonic Plasma TVs.
Any other ideas?

I was actually going to suggest multiAVCHD :)

If you want hd: H.264 BluRay with audio on DD and multiplexer on.
This will give you m2t but you can change extention to m2v.
