How to edit it?

I recently flew to Toronto (Canada) and due to my anti-jetlag routine I went straight out to stop myself going to bed.

I took the HVX200 with an SGPro to Kensington Market for a coffee at Moonbean cafe. When I got there there where loads of students/young people dancing to open air performers singing and playing music etc.

I got around 30 shortish clips.... unfortunately some are out of focus and some a bit wobbly.

Can anyone suggest how I could edit all this together to get something that gives the flavor of what was happening??

problems being....

1) no continuous sound track. overlay one??
2) short clips with numerous different people
3) focus issues
4) 95% hand held so bit wobbly with bad framing.

My justification for all this is was that I was so very very tired!

overlay a track. and fcp has a smoothcam filter that works great in certain situations of aunsteady hand. as for poor focus that's something your going to have to work with or re shoot

well, either you're a good creative editor or you pass the job off to someone else.
I once shot a music artist at a piano. All with one camera that used videotape. I did several takes from different angles. When I got in to edit it, the tape was bad. Every 4 seconds was a horrible glitch/roll. So I had to cut to a different angle/cut every 4 seconds or less. Then re-edit the music to match. It was a horror but I got creative and made it happen. Even had to throw in ALOT OF SLOW MOTION SHOTS to cover over the glitches. You might try that with your project to avoid/cover the shaky or blurry shots. Take the worse aspects of your footage, and either figure out a way to edit them out, or to embrace them in an artistic way, making them the focal point of the video. Just an idea.
