how to do transitions in color????

I was too late, I found the link too late... I have watched it now but I don't know what to do to fix my situation since I got to the tutorial too late. Here is the tutorial I am talking about:
http://library.creativecow.net/articles/biscardi_walter/fromfcp2color/video-tutorial

But here is my issue. I took one 3 minute clip and cut chunks out of it and put transitions between those cuts. It was of a congregation coming into a church. With the dissolve it made the church fill up like a time lapse. That was all done in FCP 6 and sent to Color.

I did the color correction and everything reconnected fine except for the congregation scene. The first part of the clip is fine... it color corrected perfectly but when it hit that first dissolve the footage goes back to the way it was originally shot and no longer matches the color correction.

So what do I do at this point? I have already went to my color render files and pulled the clips in that way and the problem is now there is no way to put dissolves on the footage cause there is not enough handle space...

So I guess my question is simply... how do you send transitions to color and get them back in FCP...
I have now upgraded all the files to FCP 7... so please answer with FCP 7 as the understood software.
thanks

Ok so now youve upgraded to FCP 7, did you upgrade the whole Final Cut Studio?

Because from 7 transitions are retained when sent to color. For a few minute clip with some transitions, Id just resend to Color - overwrite previous and redo the correction. Send back to FCP.
