How to do this Transition?

Hey guys I have this question

ive seen this transition before many times

mostly on top gear (BBC Car show) and now with this driver profile video

it starts at 2:13 its almost like an eye blinking and the transition pulls in from the sides

how do you go about doing this type of transition

help?! lol

I would create an image in Photoshop, using the gradient tool, and create an image that has bright-white in the center then falls off to the edges.

Import that into Primiere, then place the image above the clip where you want the effect. Set image layer to Multiple mode.

Adjust opacity of the image layer with key frames to make the effect vary over time.

Tweek until satisfied...
