How to deliver on TVs and computer monitors?

Edit: I should have made the title, "How do YOU deliver on TVs AND computer monitors?"

I'm producing training videos that will be burned to DVD (using DVD Studio Pro 4). End users will then play the DVDs on their television sets or in their computers.

How do you guys handle color correction, brightness levels, etc. when you don't know what the final delivery device will be? Plan for TV viewing and hope the video plays well on computers, too? Or vice versa?

Or is there no real answer to this question?

Thanks.

Yeah I just correct to a calibrated monitor and hope everyone isnt too far off. If someone pops it in the computer and its dark/light/whatever that means every commercial dvd is going to be dark/light/whatever on that computer. You can only do so much.

Inexpensive monitor suggestions?

Inexpensive monitor suggestions?

Thanks for the answers. It's good to know that the practice should be to shoot for TV (so to speak). I was hoping to avoid having to buy a monitor, at least for now...

That being said, does anyone have any recommendations for a calibrated monitor on a budget?
