I got a problem

i shot some shots with panasonic hpx500 in DVCPROHD 50i , i want
to prepare video material for video stock website and they can't seem
to accept the files i create.

What i do is export video material with Edius' preset DVCPRO HD 50i,
but it doesn't seem to work, probably because videostock website
has mac based conversion?

I tried a few settings to deinterlace footage encoding it as photojpeg .mov,
but results are totaly unacceptable, deinterlace is not really done...

Any suggestions how to convert 50i material to progressive in EDIUS?

Thanks

Hey Tomas, as you probably already know you’re going to lose quality no matter what you do when deinterlacing interlaced footage, I use Edius as well and before my 500 I shot with a Sony 570 which is interlaced and I was always trying to make it look progressive, the best and easiest way for me was to use the "old movie effect" and deselect everything except the deinterlace button, from there all I would do is add a little sharpness to the footage. Probably not the perfect way to do it but it works. You could also try a 1080p project setting (if you shot 1080) this will also turn your interlaced footage to progresive.
A Photo jpeg mov. is pretty standard format that these sites like to have their footage supplied in, is that what they have asked for? There are also some techniques in After Effects (if you have it) you can do to deinterlace footage that works pretty well. Have a look here http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/deinterlace_in_ae/

Alright, seems like old movie effect did the trick :) just changing project settings to 25 worked also, though in both cases final picture was pixelated, i fond out that this was due to 1440x1080 final rez, if i deinterlace, i have make it 1920x1080 to have normal smooth picture,
thanks for your input guys!
