I have 5 seconds of 1080p/24 from a 5dii that I want to turn into "stop motion" I want to so 24fps x 5 = 120 frames. I want to keep say from 1 then strip 2,3,4,5 keep 6 strip 7,8,9,10 and so on. How would I do this?

Thanks

Manually is the only way I know of at this time.

You might also try the Posterize Time effect. See if that simulates what you want closely enough.

I would probably export the clip as a still sequence, then write a Perl script to copy ever 'whateverone' from the export director to a new directory, then import the resulting subsequence in as a still sequence, then process as a clip... if was half inclined, I might even write in a sequence number rewrite function to rename the resulting subset of images with new 'no gaps' sequence numbered names...

But that may not work for everyone...

Posterize time should do the trick. Alternately you could put your footage in a separate sequence, speed it up by 600% then drop that sequence into your main sequence and slow it down by 17.2%.
