How to create long text moving from right to left?

Like on CNN... I know how to do it only if the text is short, but not with longer text (two sentences).

This doesnt work too. When the text is too long (in Text media) its croped on the begining and the end, no matter how I move it in pan and crop. And when the text is too long in Vegas Protitler, its indented. Maybe the only way how to do this is to divide the text on several parts?
 
Create a new project just for your text. In project properties make the size wide enough to accomodate your entire text (e.g., 2560x720), and create your text. Save as widetext.veg.

Now, open your regular project veg and insert (nest) widetext.veg. You can now use the pan/crop tool on the widetext event to pan across the text.

Alternatively, you could create your text in photoshop, insert it on your timeline and use pan/crop to pan across it.
 
You can type out a horizontal line as long as you want in the Text tool and use keyframes in the tool itself to scroll it (using the timeline at the bottom of the tool). You'll have to adjust the length of the text clip (at the top of the text tool).

So, you can create things like news ticker scrolls, etc., with it.
