How to create effect like that ?

The Iraq vid took about a week, off & on. The zoom at the beginning was all in after effects, and it's actually all 2D. No 3D on that one. Just layer zooms and pans, etc. Would've been alot easier to just use 3D camera moves though lol
 
Ok, I promised this last week, sorry it took so long. I wasn't able to find the final file, but here's an earlier version of the "bustout" effect in the clip I posted earlier. Its not pretty by any means, but there's enough in there for you to play with and figure out how it was done to apply to your own projects... It has magic bullet 2.0 effects applied, so if you don't have that installed, it'll warn you, but you can just ignore it. It'll still open without the effects installed.

Love the IRAQ video, excellent composition! and great accompanying music track. Was that used by the organization?

I'd love to see more of that, if you have any? Was it a DVD?
 
Yes, this is what I do fulltime. Keeps me sane/insane, depending on the day. :)

The Iraq vid was for a dvd project, yes. It's actually on a dvd with about 4 similar videos. PM me your address and I can send you a copy.
