How to clean white background?

Hi,

I would like to have footage with a person (portrait) on a white background as a final effect. My problem is that white background got not enough light on corners of the footage. So there are dark corners (like vineting) I can bust exposure a little bit, but sometimes it is not enough.
How to clean it? How to make ideal white background for a person who wearing black jacket and white shirt?

If you pull a luma key on the white background (substituting a pure white background for the existing white) you can get a very clean look. You'd have to create an inverted garbage matt for the talent so that you don't key the white shirt the talent is wearing.

I edit in Vegas but use Boris Red for such operations. I think Vegas can do it using the chroma keyer, but try searching under "Luma Key" to see if Vegas can perform that specific function.
