How to change voice audio to electronic background chatter?

What I really want to know how to do is change voice audio to sound like its coming over an intercom, or have it sound like plane to plane chatter, not even sure how to describe it, like in star wars, where you hear the other x-wings checking in, that sort of thing, maybe this isn't the right program, it is my main editing program but I have access to other ones so if you have an idea please let me know.

You can do it in Premiere pretty easily. Just add an EQ effect to your audio track and drop out all the low end. That's the main reason radios and phones sound the way they do--no bass.

An expensive way to do it is with a convolution reverb like Altiverb. It has presets for almost any environment you can imagine.

Also ...If you have Audition there are some presets that will achieve this easily.
