how to change 29.997 to 24p HELP!

I've been shooting a documentary with a canon xl2 in 16:9 and 24p, however the xl2 is now out of commision and i have to use an xl1. so half of my footage is in 24p and half is 29.997. Is there a way to make the xl1 footage match the 24p xl2 footage??
 
It depends what you have in mind- you are best off editing in 29.97 and then using a filter like Nattress or Magic Bullet to make the XL1 footage film looked. This is going to require a ton of extra work though, it may be worth renting another XL2 or even a DVX100 to finish the project all in the same format.
