I need to capture footage shot with a dvx100a in 24p. Im using final cut pro 4.5. ive read so much different stuff saying how to set final cut!!! Can someone help me with the right way to do it!!! please!

thanks alot!

Do I have to use the pulldown with 24p and not 24pA???????

its getting pretty confusing, too much poeple say too much stuff about that! Im sure someone here knows the truht!!! lol

thanks!

If you shot in 24p then leave it captured in 2997.

24p is for that 24fps look in a 30fps timeline. If you aren't going to film or to DVD then just leave it the way it is.

IF you want to go to 24 for real, then you have to go through Cinema Tools to get it to 24.

Good luck,

If you shoot in 24pa, you can capture it in FCP using the advanced 2:3:3:2 pulldown removal (its one of the capture presets). Just make sure that you then edit in a 23.98 timeline. If you shoot 24p, you just capture it like any other regular video footage and edit in a regular 29.97 timeline.
