How to approach famous actor?

Only if you're an established producer. I've tried to pitch stuff as a "Producer" and I get shut out almost immediately.
Thanks for the tips. Our script is in place, all footage is already in the can, and editing has started. All we need is a "celebrity voice" for the narration of the documentary. The budget for the narration depends on how "famous" the actor is
I don't believe this for a second. Who is putting the money up for this? You? An investor? You have to have a budget for this, $20,000k $100,000k , $3M. If the answer is you unless you have millions of dollars I doubt it just "depends" Same for an investor who I would personally think you have already closed a certain amount of money with through escrow. If you tell me how much you have I will be able to help you much more. If its $10,000 then no prob. If its $75K then ok no prob.
Manager will be much easier to deal with than an agent. Manager is normally looking to help the client out while the agent is just basically a lawyer who is gathering as much money for their client as possible. Going to his production company is an option as well.
Basically for a celebrity you will be making a pay or play offer to them and i know when we were looking for Morgan Freeman the pay or play was $X Million.
