I am using a Lvs-400 video mixer and have 3 cameras set up on set. I would like to be able to add lower thirds to live productions. is there a program I can use to send graphics to the video. the mixer says PC on one of the video inputs on the rear so hope I can find something to do the job with out having to buy any other Hardware. Please if anyone has a solution let me know thanks

68,

You can do it with what you have per notes I read from Adorama.

"The LVS-400 is equipped with 3 different types of composition effects; the 4 types of Picture in Picture (inserts a small image into the main image), Chroma Key and Luminance Key (white/black). These let you insert graphics and titling from a PC into the main image in real time. "

Use the luminance key on the 4th input. Plug a PC in there and make up the graphics on the PC.

It will require more gear to do it right, not cheap..
look at a company called Ross for DSK units. also depends on what format you are running.

Hope that helps a little bit.

Ok illl see what I can do its funny the Ross Corp is 20 min from my house I was hoping to do this directly from computer some way and I guess this is the way Ill look into it thanks

Ussualy DSK preocessors that do this require not only the immage you want to add on top but also a Key version for the DSK to blank out for the graphics (make a hole for the new graphics).

hope this helps.
