How to access Greek Alphabet Fonts?

I am editing a project having to do with College Greek Fraternities and Sororities and want to know how I can access the Greek alphabet so I can put their letters on the screen. Any tips?

From within the text control in FCP, I usually just open the Character Palette (from the little American Flag in the upper right corner of the screen) and select the Greek letter, and press insert. (Unless I'm misunderstanding your question.)

Regards,
Russell

there is no flag on my laptop or on my desktop so I am not sure what you mean there. Maybe I should say Greek Symbols for the Greek Alphabet. For example: PHI would like like a O with a line in the middle of it. Sigma looks like a wild "E", Delta looks like a triangle...and so on.

You can add the flag icon to your screen by going to System Preferences and opening International. Make sure "Character Palette" is checked in the Input Menu tab and check the box "Show input menu in menu bar"

This will add the flag menu to the top-right of the menu bar. Just choose the flag and then choose Show Character Palette. The entire Greek alphabet is available for copy/paste from there.

The Keyboard Viewer feature is helpful as well for figuring out how to make random symbols like ©, ™,  (if those even show up correctly on other systems!)
