ok so I'm trying to test the waters and branch out into doing new projects with my HVX.... I been doing a lot of freelance DPing and OPing, music vids, docs, shorts, live shows, etc but I wanna branch out into industrial/corporate/legal projects but I havent the slightest about how to wrangle these types of clients

I get indie/music vid work all day but could someone shed some light on how to break on into the other side? all advice mucho appreciated:beer:

Dude, you have to put on some fancy pants and a button-down shirt and start calling/meeting corporate marketing folks. Call them, tell them about yourself, show up at their office with a laptop & projector, and show them your stuff. Then prepare to get shot down a lot, but every once in a while you'll get a gig that pays well!

You might also be able to find an independent media sales guy/producer to partner with. You do the directing & shooting, he lines up the jobs and takes a comission. In fact, that's how I get almost half of my yearly income. I partner with 3 independent dudes who do nothing but sell repeat clients on video and multi-media projects. Works out well if you can find trustworthy folks. -vic
