My sister and I got tickets for this. We LOVED watching this film on cable in the 80's. Is he doing this anywhere else in the US?

I loved this film, and have been keeping tabs on the constant development of a re-boot/sequel/prequel. It would be great to see it again on the big screen.

I would be interested to hear what Chase has to say about the possibility of a new Fletch. Last I heard he said he would be happy to be in it.

Lets get one thing straight: Tickets are 30 bucks a pop, but I'm charging them to the Underhill's account.

I always liked Chase but not so much into his films. My mom likes some of the "Vacation" movies. He's pretty funny on "Community". A great choice for the show.

Somehow Caddyshack and Spies Like Us are the only Chevy Chase films I really enjoyed. And he is good in 'Community.'

I hope that someday someone makes an adaptation of Fletch that's true to the novel.

I read an interview Kevin Smith a while back, discussing the ongoing drama of re-making Fletch. He said that he had a lunch meeting with Chase years ago about the project. Based on that meeting Smith got the impression Chase believes he is pretty much responsible for the existence of comedy.

Just a followup: It was awesome!

I was hoping they would screen an original print, but the theater cheesed it by showing it on bluray, projected. Regardless, the bluray looks awesome.

They also kicked off the evening with actual film trailers from Foul Play, Seems Like Old Times, Caddyshack, Vacation and Spies Like Us. Chevy was great, took a bunch of questions on a variety of subjects.

My only regret was I drank too much beer beforehand, as there isn't really a good scene to miss for a bathroom break.

Also, I got there late cuz a manure spreader jacknifed on the Santa Ana. You should see my shoes. :Drogar-Thinking(DBG

I keep remembering the first- or second-season Family Guy gag: the community center sign reading:
