How much to produce DVD's?

[Angelshare1]

Hi, I'm going to release a DVD myself a few months down the road and market it via the web. I've never done this as my experience is mostly to burn DVD's of short films myself by the dozens at most.

What can I expect in terms of price? Also where do I go? Would that be a service that a post house does? Do they charge for the DVD, case, case sleve insert together or can you just get a stack of DVD's?

I'm looking at around 5,000. I live in MN so I'm not sure what we have out here as far as that sort of service.

And what do I give them? Just a burned DVD? Or an electronic file?

I really don't know a thing about this so any experience or advise no matter how obvious or sarcastic would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There are a bunch of them out there...here are a few. I've used DiscMakers in the past with great results.
You usually send a DDP file as a duplication master.

Google and you'll find hundreds out there...

Go to www.cdtechnical.com; they do all my DVDs. You author the DVD yourself, and burn it to a DVD-R, then send it to them. You also upload graphic files of the artwork for the case and the disc face itself.

Cool thanks! Ooooh I like the little pricing wizard, I think playing with that will answer most of my questions. Thanks!
