I shot some severe weather footage last year and it was used by BBC 2 documentary in the UK. Another UK channel now wants to use the footage and I'm wondering how much to charge them - they are looking for 1 minute of my HD footage.
(Ah, you might say, just charge them what you charged the other program. Well I gave away the footage to the other program
smart move you might also add but I'm pretty sure the first program wan't gonna pay shite for it but one has to start somewhere right and if I hadn't given away the footage the other guy would not of contacted me [end of rant trying to justify my piss poor business practices])
I looked at some crappy video footage on Gettyimages and they wanted something like $3000 for some guys rummaging through the rubble of a demolished house.
This is how it'll be used:
9 digital transmissions
1 transmission on BBC 1
Online license for 5 years
Interactive license for 1 year
Any ideas?
