How much should we pay?

Hi,

Our organization is expanding, and we have a job coming up in Canada for a Camera man/ DOP and part of my research is to know how much should we be looking to pay.

We will be providing all the equipment necessary. The role requires recording of university style classes / lectures using upto 3 cameras and sound (wirelss lav on the instructor).

We will have volunteers to help and be under the DOP. Volunteers will need relevant training from him.

I would like to know how much should we be looking to pay for full-time, part-time and per job basis.

We have been quoted 35 CAD/Hr is this fair? :undecided

It's about the going rate for many skilled jobs. Minimum wage is $10/hr, so $35/hr isn't bad.
 
That seems about fair for full-time and part-time (depends on how part-time we're talking). As for per job, I wouldn't quote that low. Per job is usually quoted on experience of the camera man/DOP and will vary.
