How Much info to give to a name actor?

Okay, so we have a name actor from a now defunct, but still very popular TV show who is available and interested in our film (can't say who at the moment).

Aside from the script, how much information is 'standard' to pass along to his people? We have tentative shooting dates, and are finalizing our budget (but it is not locked down, nor fully funded yet). This is my first trip down this path and while I am usually very upfront about exactly what my experience level is, I also want to appear professional. Has anyone ever done this dance before?

If he is the actor you are going to use to "sell" your project, I'd give him whatever information he needs to do you project. Certainly, being up front about your budget is a must. If he's read your script, knows your budget and has seen your work and wants to do it, you're good to go.

with name talent interested, a first step might solicit an Entertainment Attorney to help you.

As long as you hold the ownership or option to a registered and copyrighted script, give him everything you have. You're safe. Avoid radical paranoia. It scares people.

And no offense, but everyone thinks they have "Sliced Bread 2.0"
