How much does Live Video Web Streaming cost?

[smith@thebizmedia.com]

I want to stream a live presentation to approximately 50,000 people over the net.

How much does this service usually cost?

Thanks!

Cost = $0

Hopefully that's in your budget.

I assume you're asking about a full-service CDN (Content Delivery Network). A useable live video stream for 50K users couldn't be free. I wouldn't have a clue on the cost but I'm sure no one could give you a ball-park cost without having more information (geo areas, protocols, duration, time of day, bandwidth reqs, admin/monitoring, etc).

You might also want to check with LimeLight Networks - they are carrying this year's Beijing Olympics for NBC. I know Adam Curry uses them for his new PodShow company. You won't find too many that have LimeLight's capacity: 1500 gigabits per second and growing...

More control with their control panel.
I dont know max users though. They say well over 10,000 but not an exact number. It's also free and you can opt of of Ads showing up on your video for free for now.
