in a tribute to the most reviled member in the history of dvxuser, i motion that all canadians on this board shall henceforth refer to themselves as "comadians".
I married a Canadian, and my daughter was born there so she is Canadian too! I've contemplated moving there for the free health care, more reasonable housing prices, and all around niceness of the people, but man, those winters are brutal. Minus 40 for weeks on end!
i think its funny that people think canada is so cold.. as i sit, roasting away in my apartment......
so anyways. I AM CANADIAN. (and a girl!) haha
Where's ugafan with that pie chart???
Are you poo pooing kidding me? Once Winter hits here it hits lows of below 20 for long periods of time. Stop complaining! Everyone!
Also, I may have been stripped of my title, but I am still the Political Police so be careful now!![]()
You do realize when I say Minus 40, I mean -40 degrees Celsius? As in 40 degrees BELOW zero. And that is the point on the Farenheit scale where Farenheit and Celsius coincide, so it's also -40F. That is mother-frakkin' COLD!!!!! And it's that cold, DURING THE DAY WITH THE SUN SHINING!!!!
I'm Canadian Eh!
People on this internet doohiky thing always wonder how I get internet in an igloo. How silly... of course we get internet access in igloos! Just our computers freeze more often (cue laughter).
Well here in montreal it's two extremes. We get very hot and humid summer days. We've had days that go up to 30-32 Celsius, but with humidity it can get close to 40 Celsius. Of course in the winter it goes down to minus 20-30 Celsius, with wind chill it has been known to get to minus 40.
However vancouverites don't know the meaning of extremes. I was in vancouver and it was chilly the whole time I was there. Low 20s and no humidity. In the winter it doesn't go very low, and it's rare that it snows. In fact it rains a lot and the plants turn green. Weird...
ya, and i'm happy not to know the meaning of extreme weather. vancouver rocks!
Yeah, the winters can be a drag though, a solid month of straight rain does suck and sometimes I'd rather have snow. I always find the city so much brighter when it snows.
