Anyone have a general answer for this? Whether it's a drama or action blockbuster, I am always curious on how many cameras are utilized.
How many cameras are generally used when filming movies?

For Bad Boys II His Bayness had about 12 cameras running on the car chase with the Haitians if I remember the BTS correctly. Huge action scenes generally have multiple cameras running, particularly if you only have the one boat to blow up.

300' in the USA

Or... if you're shooting a local indi production, just long enough that your feet can't reach the floor.

d'oh!
Don't worry, I tossed out the rope... now when an indi producer asks for my card I tell 'em it's not the side that says audio/cam/etc... I tell 'em I work for Karen's Drapery Cleaning (on the other side).
I need to try that one out...
