I have been given golden egg so to speak. Where I am residing in Japan is a city called Sagamihara just on the outskirts of Tokyo Metro. In this city there is a big push for arts right now... all forms. A part of this includes trying to attract independant film makers to the area by providing: easy to obtain location permits, free extras, access to cheap equipment rental e.g. pro lighting set up for about $25 usd per day (not sure of the full details of the set ups available - but cheap in any mans book).
There is a bit of a local keeping up with Mr Jones between Sagamihara council and that of an adjoining council. Either way I am getting a sweet deal at the moment.
