How Long Will Is The H4ns Battery Life While Using 48v Phantom Power?

in my experience the zoom loses the first two bars quickly but keeps the third for a disproportionately long time. if at all possible, run it till the lights blink, you'll save some batteries.

Yes you're right, very disproportionately...so much so that it showed (all) 3 bars when I started and when I looked 20 minutes later it was at 1 bar...but it stayed on that one bar for the following 1 hr 20 min I left it going.
As I recall from the manual it will go to zero bars and then an x before it shuts off.
BTW, do you happen to know how long the lights will flash before it shuts off and (I'm guessing) lose the file.
I wish I would have let it drain completely to test myself but I didn't and I've already recharged the batteries.
Thanks very much,
Randy

don't know off the top of my head, but i can say i've always let it run to zero bars before i replace batteries and i've never lost a take. of course, i'm not doing ten minute takes, so ymmv.

That's good to know and I don't think the battery life will be an issue for me as long as I can go 2 hours without a change.
Thanks again,
Randy
