I am shooting a long seminar, about 11 hours of continous talking, and I wanted to know how long a set of batteries will last in the zoom h4n and wireless lavs.
Not that long..... Change the batteries then you take a rest / meal break.
The H4n can be hungry on batteries if you run phantom power. Radio mics battery life depends on type, power output etc.
It also depends upon which wireless system you're using; batteries will last A LOT longer in, say, a Lectrosonics transmitter than in a bargain basement transmitter.
Zoom gear is notorious for eating batteries, so change the batteries frequently.
