How Is This Done?

Not to knowledgable about such effects, but I've seen enough fx tutorials to be able to look for certain tell-tale signs - as the camera begins to zoom in to the subject, the subject begins to flatten slightly, which means it was 2D - so the camera never zooms, the image is zoomed into/blown up in post. So it seems it was just some 2D motion graphics with a hidden cut between an "approach" (with a shot from the front) and a "withdraw" (with a shot of the guy doing the same stunt from the other side). I imagine it could be done in After Effects.

I thought there was another thread about this video a while back asking the same thing, I think a lot of people put their money on a multi cam rig.
