How important is matched mics for stereo

I am buying 2 Oktava 012 and was wondering how important it is to get them matched. I will on occasion be using both channels on one or two performers. Typical setup may be a guitar and vocal sent to each dvx channel for mixing in post.

If I were recording voice on one and music on the other, I wouldn't worry too much about matching.

But if I were going to be using them to record two people in the same environment, I'd want them to have the same response characteristics...just to make it easier to do the audio post.

And, if I were going to be recording "real" stereo, whatever the event, I'd definitely want them matched.
