How I wish I could give up my Pro Light...

but no... can't seem to find a single reasonable LED (or phosphor) replacement. My $150 lowel Pro light throws 23 FC at 10 feet in flood. Nothing comes close not Sola 4, Sola eng, PRG Foton, DedoLedzilla, etc. or am I missing something? I'm not looking to cheap out either, but I think $1300 for a Sola 4 at not even half the output is too expensive. Does anyone know of an any other small-ish LED fresnels out there or in development?

I had a few whole kits of hot lights. My Pro Light is the last of it. I've burned too many fingers (many not my own), tripped too many breakers and tripped over too many ac cables... I'm looking to go light wieght, low-powered, and now I can't even imagine not being able to dim a light without color temp changing anymore... and yes of course I could put a great kit of hot lights together for $1300 - that's why I find it hard to pay $1300 for a measly Sola 4.

Yes thanks. I saw those and emailed Frank Kosuda fkosuda@desistiusa.com last week. According to him "they are available" and "you can purchase them through our US operation". Which basically looks like that's him - but he didn't give me a price on the LED MAGIS 40W DAYLIGHT CCT. Looks promising on paper...

Look into the mactech led's. They are the coolest most usable led system I've seen.

I'm pretty sure you can buy them, but it seems hard to find info on them. I was in la and went down to B&M where they showed me all their latest toys. I'd stop by there if you're in the area.

You can contact Dennis and he'll give you quotes for the mactech led's. Universal handles the sale side.

So many new LEDs that try to be kinos... I like the idea of still having the fresnel type light, which is what DeSisti are Arri are offering. But bleh... Arris are so expensive and DeSistis don't seem weatherproof (atleast they are not bragging about it like Arri is)
