With the hype (maybe not the best word…excitement…feverish madness lets say) surrounding the upcoming…ahem…zombie fest…more like zombie expo. I’ve been thinking about my ideas…I wont lie…I intend to try my best and pull something out of my ass…with all the accessories/ camera/ gear freaks around here desperately trying to get their hands on the blood covered prize – that wonderful lens (on-top of everyone wish list…I know)…Knowing the talent around us, plus the fact the boards members seem to be getting crazier…The thought delights and slightly worries when they are finished and all films are all posted…
I just can’t stop thinking how far with these crazies push it???
I don’t want to let the side down…How much blood/ sex/ violence/ mutilation/ brains/ hearts/ eyes/ hookers/ blood/ sex and violence are you planning to cram in, in five minutes?
 
I do not recall this kind of fever pitch interest in a subject matter for the DVXfest ever. This one is going to be off the charts and a DVD is going to 'winnings' enough for me. All of my peers on one disc doing The Surfing Dead (you undead aficionados know that one).

5 Minutes. It's perfect but damn if we can't have 'Dos Mas'. My intention is to entertain you. I don't have any goals to go over-the-top but am more focused on technical achievment in Cinematography and Direction. If it happens to have gore or violence I'll put it in.

But my version probally won't be any hardcore than an R Film (Think the Dawn remake or Shaun of the Dead)
 
Awesome. I'm leaving the zombie makeup to my girlfriend. I have zero skills in that department (most departments, actually).:cheesy:
 
does it have to me a short film with 3 acts or can it be like a trailer or something? I am having a hell of a time making an interesting plot for a zombie flick.... especially in 5 minutes.
 
Whatever you want.

Just think of a Scene. Like all good scenes, they should have a beginning, middle and end right? Just have fun with it.

I used to do special-fx thought I might try and flex the long lost talents....
Horse you gotta do the nipple thing on the Zombies...

I'd encourage everyone to be creative with their films. It doesn't have to be a "mini-movie", so don't be afraid to experiment or do something unconventional. I don't think I'll have time to shoot it because of my travel schedule, but I was thinking about a film from the point of view of the zombies.
 
so i just spent way too much time playing the "all hollow's eve" game, and killed 1208 zombies. yeah, i'm pumped to see the films.
 
All Hallows Eve ! GODAMNIT ! I got to the last assault but it was SO ****ING HARD TO PLAY ON THAT PIECE OF **** PAGE JESUS CHRIST! Whenever I pressed enter sometimes it would go down and scroll to the bottom and i was trying to shoot these guys with my secondary (molotov cocktails) and then i went down and i was trying to look at where to shoot and i pressed enter and guess what

IT WENT DOWN TO THE AD AND I CLICKED AND IT RESTARTED EVERYTHING! ****
