How does one achieve 16x9 in a Youtube 4X3?

I have shot some 24p and 24p advanced footage in Squeeze 16x9 and have been editing in Widescreen Mode in Premiere Pro 2.0. What I would like to do is export is so that it appears 16x9 in the Youtube 4:3 Window. Does someone know how to achieve this or have I already messed up by shooting in Squeeze 16x9? I have seen linked video in 16x9 form users on this site, can't figure out how to pull it off.

Export it uncompressed at 16x9 then take the avi into a 4x3 project timeline and render it out letterboxed...
