How does Kupo compare to MSE and American Grip?

I need a couple new C-Stands and something like a Hollywood Baby Jr Double Riser:

Two local grip shops (JCX and DTC) are both out of stock on much Matthews and American Grip stuff (and are waiting...waiting). What do you all think of Kupo? Are they better than some of the other lower(ish)-cost alternatives? All I own from them is a couple of their boa-style shot bags which are nicely made. Anyone have experience with their baby roller stand or similar stands?

I'd like to wait for my first choices to arrive, but a couple of my current stands, while totally functional, aren't as new-looking as I'd like for some upcoming corp gigs. Gigs that aren't big enough for me to hire a small truck (and grip and gaffer), but big enough...

Any other brands to look at that are at least as solid as Matthews?

I have a bunch of Kupo gear, and I like it a lot. Very close to Avenger in quality. And I’d take them any day over MSE’s equivalents (which I’ve been unimpressed with by comparison).

The quick-collapsing legs on the Kupo C-stands is a great feature too.

The OP notes the unavialability of MSE.

Personally in the UK Kupo seems almost to be vapourware so be warned - even if you want it you may not be able to get it.

I have Avanger, MSE 'E-image' and a couple of Kupo stands.

All that 'foreign' kit is great but they do struggle with 5/8 of an inch.. some of thier spuds are 16mm (not 15.8mm) - overall build is pretty perfect.

I might be trying some super cheap amazon stands soon.. how low can you go? !
