How does a ~25ft+ camera jib/crane 'level' the camera?

Hi, I've been looking at pictures of JimmyJibs like this one:

Does that remote head somehow have some sort of auto level function? Or is it a two man operation to keep that thing level (one operating jib, one operating the remote head)? How does it work?

I've owned a short 8ft Kessler, that obviously doesn't have a remote head. Could a 30 ft jib potentially 'level' like a kessler does?

Thanks,

Steve

You can operate the camera and jib at the same time. Usually the joystick to move the camera is attached to the back of the jib you you can swing the jib around with your hands on a handlebar with the joystick. The camera stays "level" because of a parallelogram cable or lever system. There is a smaller support that runs above or below the main jib arm that attaches to the fulcrum of the jib. When the jib goes up, the two pivot points stay in the same place, so the camera mount is forced to stay flat. It's easy to see in this image: http://www.straightshootr.com/attachments/Image/images/Straight_Shoot_r_arm0001.JPG According to the JimyJib user manual, they use a cable to do the same thing.
