Here's what I mean. A character is going to sit and sing a song with some friends around. Let's imagine it's hmm at a campfire. "They" say don't use a song to which you don't own the rights, BUT you are supposed to take up your page space on a "page a minute" basis. So I'd really need to put in the lyrics ... or do I? How do I write this scene?
Similarly:
Let's say I have a character who's, hmm yo-yo-ing before an audience. He does various yo yo tricks. How do I write this? Again: given the page a minute issue I can't just say oh "Unlimbering his yo yo, David does a series of tricks such as a Gravity Pull; Sleeper; Forward Pass; Around the Corner/Pop the clutch; Breakaway; Rock the Baby and finishes with a Double Or Nothing."
HELP! and, thanks. Oh, and yes: I checked several books like Screenwriter's Bible and online resources before bugging you guys!
