How do YOU use grip/gag heads?

I posted this in another thread, as I use these in sometimes non-conventional ways (ie: holding power cables out of the way), and I use them for just about everything.. I was curious-- who else uses these as an all-purpose tool, and how?

Here's what I've used grip heads for in the last week or two:

1) Hold a mic boom
2) Hold a shotgun mic by itself
3) Hold a gobo/cookie
4) Hold a reflector (folding and foamcore)
5) Hold a flag/silk/net
6) Hold power cord slack up and out of the way
7) Hold butterfly frames

How about you? Any new/exciting ideas that you've tried, or maybe just seen the "big boys" do?

I use them for anything and everything that needs to be held in place and will not move. If I can't get the head to hold it I've placed duckbills, vicegrips and forks with spuds on them in the head and then clamped on to whatever I needed. One thing for sure there is no right or wrong way, but a safe and unsafe way. I always look at what the tipping or falling possibility is and sand bag or secure as necessary.

I use them to torture interns....oh, and for sex, or torturing interns for sex.

The sky is the limit with these things. Always tighten to the right and you really can't go wrong.

I used one once to hold a hose so we could make it look like some one off camera threw up on the on camera talent. Ah...good times.
